The first step is always the hardest.
I struggled for several years before deciding to begin writing this blog. There always seemed to be one hurdle after another to overcome; some reason why I just wasn’t ready. I thought,
”I don’t know anything about blogging” or “There’s no way that anyone would be interested in what I have to say.”
And my personal favorite excuse, “I don’t have the time!”
The important word there is excuse.
Just like anyone, I had so many dreams and goals in my life. I wanted to write. I dreamed of changing the world through words, bringing joy to anyone who picked up something I had written. I wanted to travel the world and meet new people, learn the cultures and languages of fantastical lands that I had only ever read about or seen on tv. The problem was that I not only lacked the motivation to see things through, but that even if I acquired the motivation, I had no idea what steps to take to actually accomplish any of those things.
So I decided to make a change.
I took a leap of faith that I could learn to succeed, even if I didn’t know how to just yet. I began this blog knowing very little of what I needed in order to be successful. I also knew that if I continued to put it off, then nothing would ever happen.
Take that first step. Make a change. Get out of your comfort zone and strive for success because it won’t just drop into your lap while you sit still.
Let’s begin our journey together.
Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton
